Access to arts education in K-12 schools is unequal, with students from low-income, rural, and marginalized communities facing the greatest barriers. Budget cuts, policies like No Child Left Behind, and the prioritization of STEM have led to the decline of arts programs, leaving many students without creative opportunities. External programs are often inaccessible due to cost and location, further widening the gap. How might we provide free, inclusive arts education that fosters creativity and community engagement for all students?

Momentum Arts and Learning Center offers free afterschool programs, weekend workshops, and summer classes, ensuring all K-12 students have access to quality arts education. Through hands-on instruction, mentorship, and partnerships with local artists, the center provides a space for students to explore their creativity, develop critical skills, and build confidence. Project components include a website, flyers, posters, and branded materials to promote awareness and engagement. The goal is to remove barriers to arts education, strengthen community connections, and inspire lifelong creativity.
